What kind of shop?
The shop of a non-profit fair trade organization, opposite the Temple of Literature (Văn Miếu). It carries a huge range of textiles by ethnic minorities of the north, the best selection in Hanoi for ethnic fabrics. Beyond fabric there are many ethnic crafts, plus an exhibit on a producer-support project in Mèo Vạc, Hà Giang province. There is a lot to see, so decide what you are after (pouches, scarves, fabric remnants, etc.) before you go.
