What kind of shop?
The Ho Chi Minh City shop of ít ít Việt Nam, a brand popular for accessories made from shards of Sông Bé ceramics, finished in a kintsugi-like style. It shares a space with the 1st store (Bến Thành) of Nắng ceramics, a Sông Bé tableware shop, so you can see the ceramics and the accessories born from them in one visit. Also bamboo-handled bags, bia hơi glasses and shopping bags remade from duck-feed sacks. Some staff speak Japanese. [Getting there] It’s just west of Bến Thành Market, but on the 3rd floor of a building and very hard to find. Enter the narrow doorway with the “New York Spa & Nail” sign, turn right just before the beauty salon (nail salon) at the back, and take the stairs up. The Google Maps pin may be slightly off.
